Harmony Foundation
ECA works closely to support Harmony Foundation projects, which have included development of the publication – Green Cities: a Guide for Sustainable Community Development – to help communities meet the goals of the San Francisco World Environment Day 2005 accords for urban sustainability. Green Cities is was an official document of World Environment 2005 Day and The Urban Environmental Accords. It was written by Harmony Foundation in collaboration with The Centre for Sustainable Community Development, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia, and includes a foreword by Maurice Strong. Harmony Foundation is a charitable education organization recognized nationally and internationally for its leadership in multi-sector cooperation and in creating innovative training programs and educational materials for educators, families, youth, the workplace and communities. The Foundation is the ECA representative in Canada.
