Earth Council – Italia
Based in Naples, Earth Council – Italia will provide leadership and coordination in Italy and southern Mediterranean countries to work toward the goals of sustainable development. Earth Council – Italia will work with local organizations and government at every level on sustainability. Among the organization's priorities will be education and the establishment of an institute for environmental studies. The organization plans to support the candidacy of Naples as a future site for World Environment Day. Naples was among the largest cities of the ancient world, and now is emerging as a world leader in sustainability.
