As a Founding Sponsor of World Environment Day 2005 in San Francisco, ECA collaborated with the United Nations Environmental Programme and the City of San Francisco to sponsor, develop, and enrich events related to the Green Cities Declaration and the Urban Environmental Accords. ECA provided funding for the following:

• World Environment Day Opening Ceremonies Children’s Flag Walk;
• LINK TV and Living Dreams Films Video Documentation;
• Muir Woods Walk and Celebration of 60th Anniversary of the Signing of the UN Charter.

In addition, ECA, the World Resources Institute, and Roots of Peace are co-sponsoring a dinner to celebrate release of the institute’s Millennium Assessment Report and an address by former Vice President Al Gore on sustainable transportation.
