EC Italia Directors

EC Italia was formally launched in Naples, Italy in June 2006 as part of the organization’s first International Conference on Sustainable Development.This organization successfully convened leaders of government, academia, business, and environmental experts to discuss and share best practices knowledge.

Working closely with UNEP to gain accreditation into the UN-sanctioned international network of civil society organizations, EC Italia seeks to establish environmental education programs and convene leaders of government, academia, and businesses to meet the challenges of the Mediterranean region.

EC-Italia conducted successful meetings in Geneva with representatives of UNEP in December of 2006, and decided collaboratively to host the second EC-Italia International Conference in June 2007. The conference will address the issues of environmental education, environment and security, and energy.

The date and location will be announced later this month, should any ECA/ EC USA board members be interested in attending this event.
